The High Desert’s “On Fire Fitness” will ignite at a spirited community competition!
Victorville, CA – Hundreds of fitness and outdoor adventure enthusiasts will converge in Southern California’s High Desert in Victorville California on Saturday, October 24 for The Think Pink 5K and 2K Obstacle Race. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and 100% of proceeds from this race will go to the fight against breast cancer. From across the community participants will have many other exciting races for all levels of fitness and are free to enter. The event takes place from 7:00am to 12:00pm at the High Desert Events Center. It’s all part of the third annual Heritage Games presented by Heritage Lifefit, the fitness and health group of Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group.
The wildly popular obstacle course racing and the on fire fitness movement in the Southern California High Desert Communities is sure to challenge and excite recreational to pro elite level athletes. Specialty races include the HIT Fit Challenge where toned athletes from local gyms will take on each other. Anti-obesity youth empowerment will be represented in the In It To Thin it race. Educators will take to the field in the ‘Battle of the Schools Districts’. Towns and cities are on tap for ‘The Mayors Cup’, and there is the ‘Business to Business Challenge’. The Cal Games, with its ultra-fit police & fireman will also be on hand.
The Heritage Games is a celebration of community spirit, self expression and supports great causes through fitness. This attitude of finding one’s personal best through taking on difficult challenges exemplifies what Heritage Medical Groups calls the ‘Spirit of Excellence’.
